George Eden of Auckland
George Eden of Auckland (1784 - January 1st 1849), 1st Count d' Aukland, was first Lord of Admiralty. He is the son of William Eden of Auckland.
It is in its honor that the English gave the name of Auckland to a group of islands located at the Western South of the New Zealand, by 164° long. E. and 51° lat. S.; and at a city of New Zealand, located in the septentrional island, at the bottom of the Gulf of Chouraki and on the port of Waïtemata.
