George Band (1929 -) is a Alpiniste Britannique. After having begun the alpinism in the the Alps whereas it was student with Cambridge, it was youngest of forwarding on the Everest of 1953. Two years later, in 1955, Joe Brown and become to him the first mountaineers to make a success of the rise of the Kangchenjunga.
