Geonosis

Geonosis is a planet of the fictitious universe of Star Wars. It is the native planet of Geonosiens.

Description

This planet is one of first planets to join the Confédération of the independent systems. The trubu (Hive) of Stalgasins, largest of all the Hives of Geonosis was directed by the Archduke Poggle the Brief (Poggle the Lesser) until its death at the end of the war of the clones. Moreover the very first battle of this war began on this planet: it is the Bataille of Geonosis.

Geonosis resembles much its neighbor Tatooine who is less than one away parsec. The two planets are rock and desert. A notable difference however: Geonosis has a belt of rings formed after the destruction of the one of its moons by a comet.

The buildings of planet consist of large domes built in immense caves such of the dwellings of Termite S.

Industry is specialized here in the clothes industry of droïdes and several enormous factories deliver armies with Dark Sidious. It is here that one invented the Super Droïdes de Combat, the most powerful model of droïdes of combat. It is also here that the plans of the ultimate weapon, the Black Star, were born.

The Géonosiens capture dangerous creatures the such Massiffs, Acklays, Reeks or Nexus in order to make them fight in their arenas or to carry out prisoners there for example.
