Geo was a make of car which belonged to General Motors. The mark appeared in 1989 in the United States and it was absorbed by Chevrolet in 1998. In the beginning, Geo had been formed to compete with the vehicles imported on the North-American market, which gained ground each year. Here various models of Geo with the passing of years:

Geo Subway, under-compact of type Twin spool (hatchback) available with two or four doors and convertible two places. It was practically the same vehicle as the Suzuki Swift, pontiac firefly and Chevrolet sprint.
- Geo Spectrum, compact which came from the model Isuzu Gemini.
- Geo Tracker, a cross-country vehicle based on Suzuki Sidekick.
- Geo Prizm, a truck based on the Toyota Corolla.
- Geo Storm, a half-compartment based on Isuzu Impels.
Recent years one considering decreasing the interest of the North-American consumers for the compact and economic vehicles, and the last model surviving of the era Geo, Prizm, was stopped in 2002.
The majority of the Geo models were manufactured by General Motors in collaboration with the Japanese constructors. Prizm was produced with factory NUMMI in Fremont, in California. This factory was the first with being used by two different companies (GM and Toyota) nonfinancially associated with the the United States. The models Subway and Tracker were manufactured with the factory GM/Suzuki CAMI in Ingersoll in Ontario. The only exceptions were Spectrum and Storm which were entirely manufactured by Isuzu. With the rise of the prices of the gasoline of 2004 and 2005, the consumers started to claim moreover small cars, and although Geo is not any more on the market, General Motors recovered to sell imported vehicles carrying the Chevrolet banner, by taking vehicles of its division GM Daewoo; the Chevrolet Aveo which results from it could be the worthy successeure of Geo Metro.
