Musical genre

Sergeant Garcia mixture Reggae, Salsa, raggamuffin, Rock'n'roll and other tendencies in a new style which it defines as salsamuffin .

Its first known disc of the general public is its second album, Poquito Quema' O. This album on which it is accompanied by the Locos del Barrio and to which take part of other artists, whose mainly Orishas, is a success in France.

This album conceals songs full with energy (Salsa endiablée) and others softer (Palique…). The texts speak about love, poverty, Chamanisme, the Under-commander Marcos… a landscape very latino.

Its third album is considered to be more insipid by the public and remains much less known than the precedent. An atmosphere similar to this last but with less force and of beauty.

Its last album changes gives it. The sargento offered a new appearance: it exchanged its paname and its cigar against a behavior very " R' B ". Its music changes with its costume. The songs pass without resembling each other. CD is recorded in Jamaica, with Cuba and in France. The music is there resolutely caribéenne on the level of the rates/rhythms and the sound. A song is sung in creole (partly), another approaches the Ragga, another remainder very Salsa… The Garcia sergeant operated a turn enough Net with this album, but without disavowing the style of his first albums.

Anecdotes

the singer of the group, Bruno Garcia, formed part as a guitarist of Ludwig von 88, group of punk of the Années 1980.
the singer engages with his group while taking part for example in caritative concerts as the Mongrel Festival Your Zik where they occurred in support for UNICEF.
