Garchey

The Garchey is a system of evacuation of the refuse by wet process, contrary to the traditional Vacuum-refuse which is with dry roads.

The system was invented at the beginning of the 20th century by French Louis Garchey and knew his hour of glory in the years 1930.

The general principle is to use the evacuations of the sinks, with a widened opening, and to use the weight of water and an aspiration by bottom to store waste in a tank regularly having to be emptied or connected to the Tout-à-l'égout.

The real complex Matrat-Voisembert with Issy-les-Moulineaux (until 2005) or the Radiant Cité of the Corbusier to Marseilles was equipped with it.
