Synopsis

It is in 1862, in the town of New York to fire and blood, that the history recalls it face to face of a twisted caïd and the son of Pasteur whom it killed sixteen years before at the time of a war of the gangs.   • Martin Scorsese wanted to already carry out a film adaptation of the novel of Herbert J.Asbury in the Années 1970. But of the budgetary problems obliged it to push back turning until the end of the years 1990. The catches of sight started in 2000.
