Gadsden flag

The Gadsden Flag , representing a rattlesnake with the currency " Don' T Tread One Me" (" do not go me dessus" , " do not press me with the pieds" , " low pattes" , in Latin: nemo me impune lacessit ), is the standard of rallying of the liberal and libertariens of the whole world. Its origin goes back with Benjamin Franklin and the war of independence of the United States. He was invented by the colonel Christopher Gadsden in 1775.

The rattlesnake would have been chosen by Benjamin Franklin because this animal is " inoffensif" , in the direction where it never initiates the combat, but when one walks to him on the tail, it counteracts and its bite can be fatal. It has 13 sound rings exactly, as much as British colonies in America in 1776.
