Gaëls
The Gaëls constitute a Celtic people originating in Ireland, which invaded British Isles at the 5th century before J.C and was established mainly in Scotland, in Ireland and on the island of Man. It then gave its name to the various Gaëliques people, to cousins of the other Celtic people, and to people warlike. Their language belongs to the family of the Gaelic, a division of the Celtic languages insular.
The name " Gaël" was adopted in 1810 starting from Scottish Gaelic " Gaidheal" Irish ( " Gaedhealg" and old Irish " Goidhel "- " Goídeleg" ) to appoint a mountain dweller (EOD). Gaël or Goídeleg was initially used like a generic term to describe the inhabitants of Ireland; it is thought that would come from the British " gwyddel " (old Welsh " goídel" ), which meant in the beginning “ robber ”, and now would nominate an Irish person. Many people who do not speak Gaelic regard as “Gaëls” in a broader direction, because of their historical ascent and their heritage.
