Fukushima

Fukushima (福島市, fukushimashi ) is a city Japan, capital of the Préfecture of Fukushima.

Geography

In 2003, the city had a population of 290.866 inhabitants, a density of 389,68 hab/km ² and a surface of 746,43 km ².
The city is in the middle of the mountains Azuma and is crossed by the river Abukuma.

History

The city was founded on April 1st 1907.
