French trade union of the artist-interpreters

The French Syndicat of the Artist-interpreters (SFA-CGT) is a Syndicat defending the rights of the stage actors, lyric singers, choreographic, visual and traditional, like those of the artists of varieties and Cirque and of the marionnettists. It is affiliated with the National federation of the trade unions of the spectacle of audio-visual and the cultural activity of the General confederation of work.

History

The first association is founded in 1890, its affiliation with the federation of the spectacle CGT, in 1936, offers to him a national representativeness which enables him for example to be founding member of the International festival of the Film , or the creator of ADAMI. Joining the British Actors Equity in 1952, it Co-founds the strong International federation of the actors maintaining of about fifty country and 70 organizations. Under the presidency of Gerard Philippe the SFA finds his current form in 1958.
