French Congo

The French Congo was a colony made up of current the Gabon and République of Congo. The capital was Libreville (1882). In 1906, France cut out this colony into two:

In 1911, it yields after a compromise with the Germany (Second crisis of Morocco), the northern part of Congo, attached to the German Cameroun. This band of territory is recovered in 1914-1915.
