Frederic Pintail-Will

The count Frederic Alexis Louis Pintail-Will is a French banker born in Paris the March 8th 1837 and died the January 28th 1911.

Resulting from a family originating in Savoy anoblie by the king in Sardinia in 1833, wire of Alexis Pintail-Will (1805 - 1871) it marries towards 1869 Jeanne Marie Clotilde Briatte (in literature: Charles d' Orino). They have four children:

Banker, he is director of the Savings bank of Paris in 1871 and Régent of the Banque de France (13th seat) following his father, of July 13rd 1871 with 1890.

In 1879, it acquires the vineyard of Château Margaux of the heirs to the banker Alexandre Aguado. It invests important sums to return all its glare to the property, but its efforts are destroyed by the Phylloxéra. It is then him which launches the concept of second wine by creating the red Pavillon of castle Margaux .

In 1887, it makes build a private mansion of style néo-Louis XV 31 Rue of the Suburb-Saint-Honore, with the site of the old Marbeuf hotel (this hotel itself was destroyed in 1967). It made there install splendid old woodworks and accumulates a vast collection of art there, in particular including fabrics of Jean-Honore Fragonard () and of François Boucher ().
