François Lemieux
François Lemieux (Lévis, 1811 - Lévis, May 16th, 1864) was a lawyer, a politician and an administrator.
Born with Lévis, it was allowed with the bar on April 1st, 1839 and followed its occupation with Quebec.
Mr. Lemieux represented with the Room of assembly the county of Dorchester of 1847 to 1854 and the county of Lévis (detached of that of Dorchester) of 1854 to 1861. He was member of the Executive council and public Minister for Labor in the ministry MacNab-Stained of 1855 to 1856, and still public Minister for Labor in the ministry Stained-Macdonald of 1856 to 1857.
He was general receiver in the Brown-Dorion ministry in 1858. In the county of Lévis by Doctor J. - G demolishes. Strainer with the elections of 1861, it was elected, by acclamation, member of the Legislative council for the division of Durantaye, on September 15th, 1862.
It had been to advise of the King, lieutenant-colonel of militia, director of the company of the Large-Trunk and barristers president of the bar of Quebec of 1863 to 1864.
He dies in Lévis, on May 16th, 1864.
