François Calvet , doctor and French antique dealer, correspondent of the Academy of the inscriptions, born in 1728, died in 1810.
It bequeathed to Avignon, its birthplace, a rich person library, a collection of natural history and a beautiful cabinet of antiquities, with the required funds to maintain them.
