Fontana (California)
Fontana is an American city of the Comté of San Bernardino in California. Fontana is located at and has a surface of 93.6 km ². The estimated population of the east city of 170.000 inhabitants and is in very strong increase.
Formerly a calm and peaceful city surrounded by plantations of lemon trees and Ranch S along the Road 66, Fontana was radically metamorphosed following the installation during the Second world war of a Aciérie pertaining to Henry John Kaiser and with the construction of the Interstate 10. A demographic explosion was followed from there and Fontana became industrial suburbs and a dormitory town of Los Angeles.
It is in Fontana that the Hells Angels, group of motorcyclists, were formed. One finds in Fontana the California Speedway, circuit automabile builds on the site of the old steel-works.
