Fondcombe

Were present, inter alia, Gandalf, Elrond, Frodon, the men Boromir and Aragorn, the dwarf of Erebor Glóin and his/her son Gimli, but also Legolas, wire of the king Thranduil and representing elves of the Black Forêt. It was decided that the Ring was to be destroyed with the Montagne of the Destiny, in the middle of the Mordor, and that the Community would be formed to accompany Frodon, the Carrier of the Ring. The Communauté of the Ring left a few weeks later in direction Mordor.
