German princes in Monaco?

The Florestine princess, in accordance with the rules governing the succession with the throne of Monaco, could marry without giving up her rights. When its great nephew, the prince Louis II of Monaco, confirmed bachelor, reached the throne, the son of Florestine, Mindaugas II of Lithuania, asserted his rights for his succession of the throne of Monaco and the Titers of Grimaldi. But France, which had just undergone two wars against Germany, did not make a point of seeing Germanic princes settling in Monaco and made an agreement with the principality so that the natural girl of Louis II, Charlotte of Monaco could reach the throne.
