Flock is a Navigateur Web founded on technology Mozilla, developed mainly starting from the sources of Mozilla Firefox. Flock also indicates the name of the company which develops it.

The creators of Flock define it as a social navigator : that means that it is able to interact with popular online services such as Flickr and Photobucket for the division of photograph, Del.icio.us and Ma.gnolia.com for the division of mark-pages, the Blog S and the Agrégateur S of news (services that certain Net surfers or developers, following the example Flock company, attach to the idea of a Web known as " 2.0").

Functionalities

The version of development 0.9.2 has the following functions:
  • the mark-pages are published on a site which makes it possible to divide them. When one marks a page (i.e. one adds a mark-page, favorite or bookmark ), the address of the page can be added on your account Del.icio.us or Ma.gnolia.com instead of being recorded out-line.
  • the favorites and the history are integrated into the manager of favorites.
  • Search for text integrated by using Clucene, research during striking for the pages out of mask.
  • Integration with the services of division of media Flickr, Photobucket and Youtube.
  • Marking Technorati.
  • Tools of Blog.
  • Agrégateur of news.
  • Possibilities Slip-of depositing and a function equivalent to a Clipboard (called Web Clipboard ).
  • Handwriting verification in the editor of blog and the forms of the Web pages.
