Flaviens
The Flaviens are a dynasty of Roman Emperors. Including/understanding three emperors, it held the throne lasting 27 years, which makes of it shortest of the Roman dynasties (with equality however with the Empereurs illyriens). Once again the term dynasty is not usurped because the three emperors are all resulting from the same family, that of the Flavii .
The emperors flaviens are by name:
Flaviens arrived at the capacity after the disaster Année of the four emperors, the first Civil war since the beginning of the reign of Auguste. It returned to its emperors to give of the order in the public purses, exhausted by Néron and its records and to erase the after-effects of the terrible year which had just collapsed.
Vespasien was shown completely with the height of its task. Under its reign the revolt of the Judaea was crushed (seat of Massada, the cases of the state filled again, and the repaired destruction related to the civil war. Sign economic good health of the Roman Empire, it is also under this dynasty that the Colisée was set up, the ancient monument most impressive probably.
The principle of heredity of this monarchy which did not say its name was not called into question. Vespasien associated as of the beginning with the throne its two sons Titus and Domitien, under the title of César . These three men monopolized the ordinary consulate, under the reign of Vespasien, and its sons continued during their reign to be allotted more than of habit the prestigious consulate.
Under Vespasien, the statute of the Prince was regulated by a law known as lex of imperio Vespasiani , which specified the capacities of the emperor, outgoing of the blur wanted by Auguste, and contributing to make of the Prince either a man exceptionally covered several capacities but a magistrate of the Roman people.
Another evolution took shape. Vespasien while choosing as dies imperii (i.e. birthday day of its taking up the duties) the day of its acclamation by the army legitimated designation by the army of the emperor. Previously was with the Senate to invest its capacities, and particularly of sound Imperium the emperor, and logically the dies imperii corresponded to this takeover. Vespasien while thus acting opened the door with a designation by the army, and it only, of the emperor. Under Antonins the Senate will not be any more that one room of recording, and thereafter its role did not cease decreasing.
