Leonardo " Flaco" Jimenez is famous a American Accordéoniste.
Biography
Flaco Jimenez was born on March 11th, 1939 with San Antonio (Texas). His/her father Santiago Jimenez Sr , pioneer of the music conjunto tex-mex, initiates it with the Accordéon as of the old one 7 years. He records as from 15 years, as a member of Los Caporales .
He plays in the area of San Antonio during several years, and starts to play with Doug Sahm in the Sixties.
Flaco goes to New York and plays with Dr. John, David Lindley, Brian Ferry and Bob Dylan; it appears in particular on the album Chicken Skin Music of Ry Cooder.
Jimenez gains a Grammy Award in 1986 for Ay You Dejo In San Antonio , a piece of his/her father. It also forms part of the supergroupe Texas Tornados, with Augie Meyers, Doug Sahm and Freddy Fender. Texas Tornados gain Grammy Award in 1990, and Jimenez gains some on its side:

- one in 1999 like Best Tejano Performance
- like Best Mexican-American Performance as a member of the supergroupe Los Super Seven.
Jimenez makes an appearance in the film Picking up the Pieces , with Woody Allen and Sharon Stone.
