Fir plantation
The Sapinière ( Sodalitium Pianum in Latin) is the name given to a network of Renseignement of the the Vatican, set up by Monseigneur Umberto Benigni under the ponfificat of Pie X (1903-1914). This secret network, revealed by the historian Emile Poulat, aimed mainly to the espionage of catholics suspected of “modernism”.
