The finance manager or directing administrative and financial (DAF) of a company or an institution supervises the Financial management this organization. It is in particular charged:

  • to optimize the management of the capital sources of and their employment, from a point of view of Profitability and control of the risk,

  • to ensure the relations with the contributors of funds (owners or shareholders, Bank S, financial markets…),

  • to give an account of the financial position near the Managing director, of the Board of directors, the authorities of monitoring (e.g. MFA), of the listeners, the agencies of financial Notation,

  • to provide simulations of Return and Financial risk like Decision-making aid for the Project S on investment important and to put in prospect great balances for the company or the institution.

In SME, the function is often gathered with others under the common title of administrative and financial Directeur

In English, one speaks about Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
