Finally taken? is a French film (2002), third shutter of the media trilogy of Pierre Carles. Finally taken? watch the hidden side of the television program Freeze frame . This film is the continuation of Pas considering step taken and of sociology is a sport of combat .

Pierre Carles seeks to illustrate what Pierre Bourdieu in his book says On television , i.e. television cannot criticize television because the conditions of production of the emissions support accustomed television, in a way not necessarily conscious, in spite of a will of posted neutrality.

It takes for example the passage of Pierre Bourdieu with the emission Freeze frame and the polemic which followed between the sociologist and the organizer Daniel Schneidermann. Ambition of Finally taken? , more than to pin a journalist, is to try to present a reflection on the structure even of the televised debate; the presentation of talking film itself about a “reflection on the way in which the capacity changes people, on the intimate springs of the ambition and fidelity”. In the last scene (at the Psychoanalyst) the author goes beyond his doubts and of its certainty and consequently puts in prospect its work compared to the media field such as it is made up.

The aspect lampoonist of this film was criticized, the personal settlings of score being in the middle of the denigrations against this film. Nevertheless, the people concerned, who are presented in the form of criticisms of television and media, have matter with contradiction.
