Film 17,5 mm

Format of film cinema of width 17,5 mm (half of the 35 mm standard) launched by Pathé in 1927 under the name Rural Pathé . The will of Pathé was to compete with directly the before 16 mm of Kodak launched some time. The market concerned was that of the exploitation of the Pathé cineclub by the small rooms and patronages.

In spite of a rather broad diffusion in France, this system will be stopped Net in 1942 following its prohibition by the German authorities of occupation which imposed also the transformation of all the material listed around the 16 mm, format of the German propaganda of the time.
