Festival of Italian film of Villerupt

The festival of Italian film of founded Villerupt in 1976 was to be a demonstration without suite.
But success met (more than 3000 spectators), the strong population of Italian origin of Villerupt and its area and the passion for Italian film in end of the year 70 encouraged the organizers with recommencer.
The continuation gave them reason, the 2nd edition doubled the entries, 6th will exceed the 30  000.

The Amilcar is the name of the trophies of the festival created according to a work of the italo-Lorraine sculptor Amilcar Zannoni.
