Felix Ravaisson
Jean Gaspard Felix Ravaisson-Mollien (Namur, October 23rd 1813 - Paris, May 18th 1900) is a Philosophe and Archéologue French which was the Master of Henri Bergson. Its philosophy fits in a vein aristotelician worked by the biranism. According to the majority of the historiographic sources in this connection, Ravaisson would have been isolated university education by its Master Victor Cousin, of which he criticized eclecticism, and relegates thus to more administrative functions. It was preserving department of antiquities to the Musée of Louvre, president of the jury of the Agrégation of philosophy, General inspector of the Libraries…
It also influenced authors like Paul Ricoeur, whose first work (Philosophy of the will) must to the Namurian philosopher much. It obtained the admiration of Heidegger which was fascinated by its thesis practice (1838). Very many contemporary authors were interested in Ravaisson: Jacques Derrida, Dominique Janicaud, François Laruelle, Claude Bruaire, Pierre Montebello…
