Federation of the French-speaking people of Newfoundland and Labrador
The Federation of the French-speaking people of Newfoundland and the Labrador is an non-profit making organization which works with the defense and the promotion of the rights and interests of the French-speaking community and Acadien of Ground-New-and-Labrador.
Structure
It is about a federation gathering five French-speaking Community organizations:
the regional Association of the Coast-West
Represent the French-speaking people of the peninsula of Port to the Port,
Free-Youths of Newfoundland and Labrador
Association which has like mandate to ensure a Community life, cultural and economic active for the young French-speaking people from 13 to 21 years,
the French-speaking Community Association of Midsummer's Day
the French-speaking Association of Labrador
Founded on December 6th, 1973 with Labrador City, it is a non-profit making company working for the promotion of the French fact in the West of Labrador (Labrador City and Wabush). Its activity, only cultural at its beginnings, is increasingly claiming today with requests made near the government to obtain French services near all the governmental stages.
