FIBA Africa
FIBA Africa (or Association of the African federations of basketball ) founded the June 11th 1961 with the Cairo is a geographical delegation of the International federation of basketball amateur. They was formed around 12 countries founders, namely the Egypt, the Morocco, the Ethiopia, the Sudan, the Togo, the Rhodesia of North, the Sierra Leone, the Ghana, the Guinea, the Libya, the Mali and the the Upper Volta. This regrouping allowed the appearance in March 1962 first Championnat of Africa of the nations of basketball.
From now on the FIBA Africa gathers 53 affiliated federations.
