Euphemy of Chalcédoine
Sainte Euphémie was born with Chalcédoine towards 284, fortunate and Christian parents. She died martyrdom into 305. She is described as " Mégalomartyr e". Festival the September 16th. One commemorates the July 11th a miracle which was accomplished on its tomb during the ecumenical council of Chalcédoine into 451.
Hagiography
Euphemy was girl of senator at the time of Dioclétien. She cried the tortures undergone by the Christians, all the more cruel as Priscus judge obliged the others to assist to with it in order to oblige them to return to the worship of the idols.She thus precipitated in the judge to say to him that she also was Christian and that it made him an affront. “ Since I am of noble race, why give you the preference to the unknown ones, and make them you go the first to join Jesus Christ? ”. Priscus then made it throw in prison, and made him undergo many tortures which resisted until she is decapitated.
