Estaimpuis
Estaimpuis (in Dutch Steenput , in Walloon Timpu ) is a common French-speaking of Belgium located in Walloon region in the Province of Hainaut.
Estaimpuis is a commune in rural matter. The major part of the territory is occupied by arable lands.
History
Geography
The commune is composed of seven villages since the fusion of January 1st, 1977: Estaimpuis , Estaimbourg, Néchin, Leers-North, Bailleul, Saint-Leger and Évregnies.The villages of Estaimpuis, Leers-North and Néchin are frontier with France.

Leers-north has the characteristic to have formed in the history one and even village with Leers.
The commune is crossed by:
- the very bucolic Channel of Espierres connecting the Deûle (France) to the the Scheldt to emerge in the latter with Avelgem. The channel of Espierre was built of 1840 with 1843 to be useful to the Scheldt, of prolongation to the Canal of Roubaix;
- the highway Turn-Bruges;
- the way of railroad Turned - Mouscron.
Economy
Two important factories are present on the territory of the commune:- soap factory Mc Attaches (e.g. Yplon, ex-European Detergents, ex-Tensia) specialized in the liquid soaps, beauty products and maintenance product;
- the tannery Hovel in Estaimbourg.
