Esper
The Esper or E.S.P.E.R is a fictitious tool in the film Blade Runner .
It is of a Ordinateur with cryogenic cooling which is able to enlarge in high-resolution the least details of an image drawn from a Photographie or about a Vidéo and that in three dimensions. The police inspectors can thus carry out research in a place without to have been there. It also makes it possible to print from the enlargings as papers version in order to make evidence of them. It is equipped with a vocal control device very sophisticated.
In the Spinner S of the police force and the apartment of Rick Deckard small sizes are which can be connected to a principal computer located in the buildings of the police force.
Anecdote
In January 1995, a review of NASA offered the description of a machine resembling Esper named “Omniview”.
