Ernst Moritz Arndt (born in 1769 on the island then Swedish of Rügen, died in 1860 with Bonn) was a writer and German poet of the 19th century.

Biography

August 1st Ernst Moritz Arndt studied initially with Stralsund before entering to the Université of Greifswald, sections Théologie and Histoire. He travelled much, in particular in Austria, Hungary, Italy, France and Belgium, before returning to settle with Greifswald where he taught some time. He also worked with Stockholm, Berlin and with Bonn, while writing many works mainly devoted to the Histoire.
