History

The team of Costa Rica took part in three final stages of World cup. In 1990, surprising them Ticos eliminated the Sweden and the Scotland before falling heavily in eighth vis-a-vis the Czech (1-4). In 2002, they hung the Turkey (1-1), future third but their defeat 5-2 vis-a-vis the Brésil closed the doors of the second round to them. Lastly, at the time of recent the world cup 2006, Costa Rica was much more disappointing, by boxing 3 defeats vis-a-vis the Germany (2-4), the Ecuador (0-3) and the Poland (1-2).
