Erosion of the littoral

As example, since 1937, the littoral moves back with an average rate of 1,30 m per annum to the height of Rufisque, close to Dakar. This phenomenon is explained only partly by the rise in the marine level due to climate warming. The low thickness of the sediments of beach also contributes to it.
