Enlil and Ninlil

" Enlil and Ninlil" is the name given by the current historians to a Mythe sumérien which puts in scene the principal god of the Pantheon of Low the ancient Mésopotamie, Enlil, and tells the birth of its loves with its Parèdre Ninlil.

Enlil is very attracted by the young Ninlil goddess. It follows it, and the épie whereas she bathes. Not being able to resist, he violates it whereas she is still virgin. From this union is born Nanna, the god-moon.

The other gods, scandalized by this attitude, cannot leave the unpunished crime, although Enlil is their Master. They thus condemn it to the exile with the Hells. But Ninlil, which does not want any in Enlil, but on the contrary is very attracted by him, joined it in secrecy. By twice, they sleep together, and the goddess puts at the world two other gods.

The gods who had exiled Enlil with the Hells end up forgiving it, and they let it take again its place with the Sky, with Ninlil at its sides.
