History
It seems that the cocker spaniel spaniel is known like a well established English race. Then, why the qualifier of spaniel? The question is vain, and yet it appears that this dog comes us from Spain, very snuffed at the Royal Court, since Charles V. Paintings of Velasquez, or even of Goya seem to testify some. However this race perfectly adaptable to all the climatic conditions, was exported in the United Kingdom, via a gift of king d' Espagne to king d' Angleterre. Since then, insane in love with hunting, these kings developed the race of the name of Cocker spaniel Spaniel (from Spain), Spanish Cocker. Since then, a popularization of the name took place in many consciences, whereas our friends english-speaking them did not omit to simply recall by its name from where this companion as marvellous comes us as is Coker, i.e. of the sun, of the sea… of Spain.
