Enggano

Enggano is an island located in the Indian Ocean, off the south-western coast of the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. It administratively forms part of the province of Bengkulu.

Enggano is to approximately 180 km of Bengkulu, the provincial capital. The island makes approximately 35 km length of is in west and 16 km broad of north in the south. Its surface is of 443 km ². Its average rise in 100 Mr. the island is covered in wooded hills which culminate to 281 Mr.

The language enggano belongs to the group known as " sumatrien" Austronesian branch of the Languages austronésiennes, with the languages batak, Mentawai, niha and Simeulue.
