Emmanuel of Saxony is the current chief of the royal House of Saxony and belongs to the sixth branch of the House of Wettin (Saxony).

The site web.genealogie.free.fr (see '' external Liens '') indicates that this Jean of Saxony would be well Jean-Léopold of Saxony-Cobourg and Gotha (1906-1972). But finally, to adopt elder twenty years goes against the ordinary one, Marie Emmanuel of Saxony having incipient in 1926…

Jiri Louda and Michael Maclagan in their work (page 205, to see '' Bibliographie ) say that it is a Jean-Albert of Saxony-Cobourg and Gotha (given as its nephew ) which was adopted. GHdA (page 205, to see '' Bibliographie ) announces the existence of one: Johannes Albert Leopold Friedrich Christian (1969-1987); wire of Saxony-Cobourg and Gotha (born in 1931) and of the Mathilde princess of Saxony (born in 1936) itself girl of Frederic-Christian of Saxony: this Johannes Albert (1969-1987) is thus well the Neveu (by the women) of Marie Emmanuel of Saxony.
