Elisabeth Alexandrovna Stroganoff

The baroness Elisabeth Alexandrovna Stroganoff , countess Nicolas Demidoff, is a Russian aristocrat born the February 5th 1779 and died in Paris the March 27th 1818.

At sixteen years, in September 1795, it marries Nicolas Demidoff. It gives him two wire: Pavel (Paul) (1798 - 1840) and Anatoly (Anatole) (1812-1869), created in 1840 prince de San Donato.

Nicolas Demidoff entered the diplomacy and the young couple settled in Paris where both supported Napoleon i ardently. But the rise of the tensions between France and Russia involved the recall of Nicolas as of 1805. The couple settled initially in Italy before returning to Russia in 1812 and settling with Moscow.

The two husbands were rather dissimilar and lived rather often distant one from the other. Beautiful, light and merry, Elisabeth Alexandrovna was bored with her husband. After the birth of Anatole in 1812, they separated and it went back food to Paris where it died in 1818.
