El Al

El Al ( אלעל , roughly Towards the heights in Hebrew) (Code AITA: LY ; Code ICAO: ELY ) is the national company Israeli of Air transport. Since its inaugural flight of Geneva towards Tel-Aviv in September 1948, the Israeli company serves today more than 48 destinations out of four continents. Like national company of the state of Israel, El Al played a big role in the humane efforts at the time of the missions in Ethiopia or with the Yemen. In addition, El Al is regarded as the most vigilant airline company in term of safety to have in particular prevented terrorist attacks.

Yesterday and today

The company belonged to the State of Israel until 2002. The company was privatisée and belongs today to Knafaim Holdings Ltd. (42%), and in the State of Israel (13%).

El Al is regarded as the surest company of the world.

The flight lasts 4:30. El Al is with the terminal 2A Aéroport Charles-of-Gaulle.

During the Jewish holiday periods, school vacations and every Sunday there is up to 18 Avion S per day at the beginning and on arrival of CDG and the majority of the planes are long mails: Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 777.

There exist flights starting from Marseilles and direct Nice towards Tel Aviv approximately 3 times per week and of the flights Paris - Ovda (international airport of Eilat) every Sunday, day of strong multitude. For safety reasons, it is necessary to arrive at least 2:30 before the takeoff of your plane.

El Al, being the national company of Israel, does not steal during the day of Shabat (Saturday) which is of Friday evening at the Saturday evening. In the future

In 2007: delivery of two new B 777-200 for the Eastern and American destinations and of new destinations towards South America via Europe.

El Al will become soon one of the first five airline companies to propose the Internet high banc with its travellers. The capital cost is of 3 million dollars. Initially, only the flights bound for North America, with the Far East, with London and Paris will be provided with this new technology.

In connection with a possible order by the company El Al of three Airbus, Mrs. Albright (in charge of the assistances for Israel) declared with the Israeli persons in charge: “If El Al prefers Airbus, address you the next time that you will need a help to the French or the English”. El Al Israel Airlines will have the right to buy its new planes, either at Boeing, or at Airbus, during its next acquisitions, declares the Minister Israeli for Transport Meir Sheetrit.

The national airline company currently exploits a fleet completely made up of Boeing apparatuses. El Al left the bosom of the State to pass between the hands of private the six months earlier and should announce soon projects of additional purchases of planes.
