Ehrenbreitstein

The fortress of Ehrenbreitstein belongs to the large classicistic fortress of Coblentz.

Because of its strategically positive position, Ehrenbreitstein played a great part during old time and is always of great importance; it is known as key of the Germany . The fortress was never captured and like Gibraltar! Ehrenbreitstein is one of the important and imposing fortresses in Europe.

The fortress of Ehrenbreitstein is 118 meters above the Rhine, opposite “Deutsches Eck”, that draws up the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein.
