Edouard Carpentier
Edouard Carpentier is a French all-in wrestler.
Born Edouard Wiecz, parents of Polish origin to Parives-knife, with the Country of the Loire on July 17th, 1926, the Edouard young person initially studied physical education. At the time of the war, it risked its life while working for French Resistance and was decorated for its bravery.
It finally finished its studies and is engaged by the French Olympique team of Gymnastics at the time of the Olympic Games of London in 1948.
A little later he is engaged as stuntman by Lino Ventura and lining of the actor Eddie Constantine for his action films. However, Ventura being also a " catcheur" (fighter) in France, he notices the athletic capacities of Wiecz which would be an asset to become all-in wrestler. Lino convinces it to practice wrestling.

The Québécois champion of fight Yvon Robert, which made rounds in Europe (it had also gained a championship) is impressed by qualities of this French fighter who would make a whole tobacco in Quebec and in the whole world. Yvon Robert invites it and in 1954, it begins in Quebec by changing its name for Carpentier, in order to preserve a French savor. It creates sensation immediately. Its most known competitions are against Wladek Kowalski, Don Leo Jonathan and Maurice Vachon.
In the Years 1960, Carpentier becomes champion by demolishing Hans Schmidt. Meanwhile, it had started to involve young hopes of the fight. He travelled much, with the the United States (especially with the AWA of Minnesota), with the Canada with Stampede Wrestling of Stu Hart, and with the Japan. Although it did not return to France during one moment, it invited fighters of its fatherland to come " catcher" in Canada. Among them: Jackie Wiecz and Edouard Éthifier which has work for Lutte Grand Prix. As well as a giant of almost 7 feet which was going to become a star of the fight much later: Andre Roussimoff, known as the Shoed Giant, who was going to become thereafter André the Giant.
The roadmap of Carpentier to Quebec is certainly impressive by counting promotions NWA of Eddie Quinn, the AWA, the Aces of the Fight, Lutte Grand Prix (of which it was one of the principal figures), like Superstars off Wrestling (of George Gannon) and finally Promotions Varoussac, of which it fought, but also animated its emission high-speed motorboat of promotion, the STARS OF the FIGHT each Sunday morning on CHLT (Tele 7, become VAT). It was withdrawn from the working life and lives with Montreal.
