Eastpak

Eastpak is a famous mark of bags, satchels, luggage, clothing, etc belonging to VF Corporation, one of the companies gathering the marks most carried today.

History

Eastern Canvas Products (the name of origin of the mark), was created in 1960 by Monte Goldman and produced bags for the armed forces. In 1976, Monte, after his/her Mark son convinced some, started to manufacture bags for the private individuals under the name of Eastpak. The mark gained quickly in popularity, particularly in the colleges and colleges.

More recently, the mark diversified the accessories which it sold, without for all this the traditional back bags are détrônés of their place of better sales.

In 2000, Eastpak was repurchased by VF. Corporation, giant company which proposes also other marks known as Jansport, Wrangler or Lee Cooper Jeans.

In June 2006, Eastpak built three new bags created not the stars of the rock'n'roll Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister and Slash. 10% of the receipts made on these bags are transferred at charity associations, each one chosen by one of the artists.
