Dujiangyan

Dujiangyan (都江堰; Pinyin: Dūjiāngyàn) is a city of the province Sichuan in China. It is a city-county placed under the administrative jurisdiction of the under-provincial city of Chengdu.

The System of irrigation of Dujiangyan, conceived to the III E to avoid the floods and to irrigate the plain of Chengdu, and which functions without interruption since its creation, was registered on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO in 2000.
