Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster (DGF) is a French Artiste born in 1965 with Strasbourg.

Its work often passes by the Medium of the Vidéo ( Riyo , 1999, Plages , 2001…). For this reason it belongs to the artist-realizers, but the essence of its practice rests on plastic productions: installations, installations of parts (series Surfaces , Room downtown, 1996…), environments ( Cosmodrome , realized with Jay-Jay Johansson for the Biennial of Contemporary art of Lyon in 2003), or of parks (as Plan for Escape , 2002 has, carried out for the eleventh Dokumenta de Kassel).

Its filmic production includes/understands also collaborations, in particular with Ange Leccia for Corsica in 1996, or of follow-ups of artists at the time of rounds (Alain Bashung in 2003, Christophe in 2002…) for turnings then of production of DVD.

Prize winner of the prestigious Price Marcel Duchamp in 2002. The exposure Exotourisme to the National center of art and culture Georges-Pompidou marked the prolongation of it.

For its first great personal exposure, entitled Expodrome , the ARC ( Animation, Research, Confrontation ) accommodated it within the Musée of modern art of the Town of Paris of the February 13rd to the May 6th 2007.
