Dominionism

The dominionism ( dominionism ) is a movement which finds its origin in the United States among the preserving Protestants, and which seeks to influence or control the civil Gouvernement through the action Politique - the objective being that the nation is controlled by Christians or that it is controlled by a Christian comprehension of the law Biblique.

One also speaks about dominion theology . The use and the application of this terminology are a subject of controversy. This movement extended in Canada and in Europe.

Origin of the term

The " term; dominionism" find its origin at the end of the Années 1980 to describe the activities of part of the Christian Right in the United States but was used to describe similar tendencies in Canada, and in several European countries. that the theocratic forms most militant of the " dominionism" had a direct influence on the Christian Right more moderate; and that the dominionism in general raises questions concerning the separation of the Église and of the State to the the United States.
