The dogon is the Langue spoken by the Dogons. The language dogon is spoken by approximately 400.000 people, mainly with the Mali but also with the Burkina Faso. It is acted in fact of more than fifteen Dialecte S (non-intercompréhensibles) of type Voltaïque, with many dialectal alternatives according to the villages. An effort of standardization is in hand. The three dialects considered the antiquated ones are the Jámsay, the Tombo sò and the Tòro sò.
There is also of Dogons which speaks the Sigi so, a secret language, spoken by the masks at the time of the religious ceremonies.
