Different the Sub-prefecture S from Eure-et-Loir.

The four Arrondissement S current have like Chef-lieu: Chartres , Châteaudun, Dreux, Nogent-le-Rotrou.

History

• 1790 : creation of the department of Eure-et-Loir with 6 districts: Chartres, Châteaudun, Châteauneuf-in-Thymerais, Dreux, Janville, Nogent-le-Rotrou
• 1800: creation of the districts: Chartres, Châteaudun, Dreux, Nogent-le-Rotrou
• 1926: removal of the district of Nogent-le-Rotrou
• 1943: restoration of the district of Nogent-le-Rotrou
