Disney Channel India

Disney Channel India is the Indian version chain for youth Disney Channel. It is diffused continuously in four languages including English. The chain diffuses the productions intrenationales Walt Disney Television Animation, films Disney, programs for youth bought recently and of the own-produced local programs.

It is available on the cable and by satellite. It is indicated as planned for children until the 13 years age.

History

Disney Channel and Toon Disney was launched in India the December 17th 2004 in three languages: Tamoul, Télougou and English. The Hindî was added later but only for the international programs. They are distributed by Star India.

A third chain Disney, Jetix was added in end 2005.

End 2006, Disney bought an Indian chain for youth Hungama TV, becoming the fourth chain of Disney in this country.
